The Squatter
On the run from the law, Kassidy Thatcher parks her camper deep in the wilds of Western Maine. Afraid of being discovered, she avoids going to town or interacting with people at all, instead foraging and hunting for food and generally surviving off the land. Things take an unexpected turn when she is discovered by a local game warden, Josh Jenkins, who seems bound and determined to rescue her. But when a ghost from her past surfaces, Kassie is forced to finally stop running and hiding and confront her problems head-on.
After losing his wife and their unborn child, Josh Jenkins had withdrawn from society and his mother would say he’d stopped living altogether. Kassidy was a breath of fresh spring air, opening doors to his heart that had long been closed. Despite the fact that she was obviously hiding something, for the first time in six years the idea of getting close to someone again didn’t seem so dangerous.
This is a type of romance novel which I call “farm-smut” and features sex and love on the homestead, farm, or off-grid Maine location. To follow along with the story, receiving new chapters directly to your inbox, please subscribe.
